Which cards do Balance Transfer to a bank account?

I think I remember than in the past certain credit cards (maybe Chase or Discover?) allowed skipping the whole balance transfer check thing and just deposited money into your checking account. A lady over the phone took down my information and I had the money within 3 days. Does anyone know which cards offer that? I'm interested both in existing card offers and new applications.

Pretty sure my Citi Simplicity card I recently got gave me that option (although I didn't use it)

Edit: Just checked, and yes, my Citi Simplicity definitely offers BT as a direct deposit to your account.

I have a Citi Double Cash and a Preferred Mastercard, and neither of them have any balance transfer offers for me at all.

I always think it's funny when I see a bank have a policy of no balance transfers from other cards issued by the same bank, but then they offer to deposit the money into your bank account.

I don't use them (unless they'll waive the fee), but I saw one for my Citi DC card when I logged in last time.

Citi, BofA, Discover are the ones I think of first. All 3 transfer into your bank account lightning fast!

BB&T does. I got the Specturm card a few weeks ago. Did a balance transfer for my NFCU.....BB&T sent a check straight to my checking account not to the credit card.

Citi and Discover offer that option to DW.

Citi and Discover do NOT offer that option to me.

Yeah, I have no idea. She said it that kind of transfer would not receive a promotional rate because it would be considered a cash advance.

Your mileage may vary (YMMV), as some might get the direct deposit as a balance transfer, others may get it as a cash advance, and others don't get the opportunity at all.

Yup, looks like I can choose either. There's a Transfer balance or Get cash tab.
