Move Chase credit

If i want to move some of my available credit from one Chase card to another, do i need to call them or can i just do it in secure chat?

I have always done it over the phone, but I guess SM is an option.

Always has been simple and fast with Chase.

Both methods work fine, but since you have 8 Chase cards I would do it by Secure Message to spell out very clearly which cards you want to move from and to in order to prevent mistakes which are unfortunately common with Chase over the phone for these things. That is especially true if you are moving to or from any of your similarly named cards (Sapphire Preferred/Reserve, Freedom/Freedom Unlimited, Ink Cash/Ink Preferred).

I think some of The "8" cards are "Goal" cards

I have 3 Chase cards, Goal is 7 or 8 in the future lol.

But you make a good point, as i don't want mistakes so i'll just do it via Secure Message.

I wish I would have seen this sooner as it would have been much easier to help my mother do this through a secure message rather than the phone. Had to have her call and then give authorization for me to explain that we wanted to move limits to her new card that had a tiny SL. Took way longer than just typing a message in her account. I'll do that next time.

Is it a cobranded card? They would only let me move from Freedom to Freedom Unlimited, couldn't move any from UA card

Just a DP here as I've had plenty of trouble with this so it's a YMMV kind of situation. I sent four messages about two different account issues(sent each request twice as the first were ignored) back in November and never received a response. Had to call in for both things which got them taken care of promptly. After seeing thsi thread I figured I'd try my luck again with a secured message. Had 3.1k transferred from my Freedom to my CSR which took my Freedom down to 5k to keep it a Signature and get the CSR up to 13.1k cause why not?

I got a message later that day and it looked good. This morning it appears that they maybe did the same thing again even though I only sent the one message. My available credit reflects the additional change but in account details it shows the accurate, requested CL for both lines. I reached out again for clarity but even if this is just a glitch it's likely the last time I try and use a secure message to get anything done with them.

Interesting. I haven't done it yet, as i've been busy lately but i'm trying to move some from my Marriott Boundless to CFU.

Only if you are primary of both accounts (AU don't count).
