I've never clicked on an email so fast. It's only up to $45 cashback at 4%. So, up to $1,125 spend. But, I'm assuming the rest is at 2%. Good deal either way.

Thanks. I checked and there's nothing. Sync really doesn't like cards being in the SD so I'm not surprised. Disco Miles first year match gives me 3% right now so non-cat has been going on there. Maybe if I start using the card again in October I'll see some offers.

I only use my PP MC probably once every few months for PP transactions. I still got that offer. My PayPal use has gone way done because I use Amazon way too much.

I log into my Paypal (which I almost never use) every once in while just to see if I get an offer for that card with a SUB. Last week I got the 4% (not as pre-approved mind you...just as "you have been selected for"... I have never seen "pre-approved"). I thought about giving it a go, but an extra 2% for only 3 months doesn't really add up to a whole lot, and I am not sure that with the current state of the financial markets now is the time to open new lines. I don't want my other cards to see me hunting credit now and cut me off from what I already have. I think it is time t play in the garden for a bit.

yeah, i really hate their "you have been selected/invited" to apply gimmick. i think that it might mislead some into thinking that they're preapproved. but, you're right to think this through and decide not to apply right now. *applause*

I got the 4% offer as well. I am going to try and use it, but I can't get too much cash back with a $300 credit line, FML. And last time I ran up a balance on this card, they immediately reported it to the credit bureaus, so they are kind of on my sh*t list at the moment.

I would suggest just paying it off 3 times so that you can reuse the limit, but I think that you're concerned about them reporting your bal. I wonder if something else was going on w your account. This happened to me once, but I think that it happened around the same time that they updated the bureaus about a dispute.

I definitely PIF. What happened recently is I made a charge for like $250 at my veternarian's office, which brought the balance to like $275 at the time. Synchrony reported the balance mid-cycle about 2-3 days later, I guess because I was close to the credit line? My score dropped a little bit when this happened, so I paid it off a couple of days later to $0, then they immediately reported it again to the bureaus as a $0 balance. It's just something people should keep an eye on if they have a low limit on this card and want to make use of this offer.

Well, it's worth an extra $22.50 max if all would have been spent on this card anyway. (So if you use this for groceries rather than say the BCE, because 4% beats 3%, savings are even less) Yes, I know, free money etc but....!

Unfortunately mine has a balance I am trying to pay off before June, otherwise I would be on this. May still be able to make it work but re shuffling some payments.

yeah, if you have 1 of those cards. right now, the disco and ppmc earn me the most points.

@pinkandgrey this is my 2nd fave card and they've been good w cli. but, reading about their credit limit decreases on this board have me scared.
