is the Bank of America Premium Rewards card considered a high tier/elite card?

What level is it at? What are comparable cards on the same level?

I was on a date with a girl and when I paid the bill she made a comment about me not having an Amex.

In all seriousness OP in the future depending on how date went I would be like "Cool, we're splitting the bill so you can pay for your own meal with a better card" and see how she responds to that

Based on the AF I would compare it to any other cards at $95 with similar benefits. Was the comment made because of dining category, or just a misconception that all Amex cards are some type status symbol?

If a person has this particular CC, then I would think they could also qualify for any nu,mber of Amex cards. So I'm not understanding the envy here.

You shouldn't be concerned with tiers and how they're perceived. I can clank down my Delta Platinum and people will ooh and ahh over it being metal, but it only has a $1400 limit? 🤷‍♂️

Really, it should be an eye-opener about her. Shows she's superficial and doesn't know much about credit.

Premium Rewards has higher underwriting standards than any American Express one can directly apply for. Numerous examples of 800+ scores and 6-digit incomes being declined for this card.

I dont know what I'd take out of my wallet to impress a guy

Probably a moot point, because by the time I'd take out old recepits, protein bars, external battery pack, various things I didnt even realize live inside my purse just to get to my wallet... he'd probably move on to a nice lady with BCP.
