I would log into your TB account and click on the link for the travel bank through there. You then log in using your TB username and password. (Its already set up to do that) If the credit is showing in your travel bank, then it can only be used next time you fly and your TB number is part of the booking.

If the credit is not there, then they most likely created a separate Travel bank account as your mother does not have a TB number and you were not on the itinerary.

I believe it is possible to have more than on Travel bank account linked to your TB number, so you may be able to follow the email they sent to log in and then link it to your TB number. You would then have the only access to the credit, but should be able to use it for anyone as long as booking is made through your account.

Or you could have your mother get her own TB number and link the credit to her and she would only have access to it. An additional benefit to that would be her accruing TB points on her flights. JetBlue allows points to be pooled together, so if she has no interest in them (assuming as she doesn't already have an account) you could use them on one of your future flights.

Need guidance: Jetblue Travel Bank

I booked a flight for my mother using my Schwab card. She was the only one on the itinerary. The trip is no longer necessary and she is hunkering down. I have cancelled the reservation.

Jetblue says it will refund the "extra legroom" fee and the prepaid checked bag fee to my original form of payment (Schwab). But they are refunding the ~$120 of base fare and taxes in the form of a "Travel Bank" credit.

Can I use this credit for a flight of my own, since I paid for it? Or does it only allow her to fly? Either one of us could potentially use it before it expires in October.

If it matters, she does not have a Jetblue frequent flyer account. I do have a Jetblue frequent flyer account (with some pitiful balance).

I received the email to set up a password for the Travel Bank account. I'm not sure if I should make a new login, try to connect it to my existing login and FF account, or what. I would appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
