Chase is offering quick loans on your CL similar to Citi and Amex - The My Chase Loan

Was logged into Chase app today and saw a new box that said Credit Options and Tools.. and it offered me a My Chase Loan on my Freedom card with rates between 6.99 and 8.99 (at least for my account) . Proportedly its a targeted offer.. but figured id mention it to folks that it seems to have just appeared in my account in the past week.. No muss, no fuss... and its already approved according to the documentation.

Look for a box that says Credit Options & Tools.. it only appeared after i clicked my Freedom card and scrolled down to where Chase Offers usually are.. Below the Account Services box... if you have it avalible.. (These instructions are for the phone app)

It did not appear below AZ Visa...

Sounds cool for those who have it, better than the standard APRs. Plus no HP and new account damage to your scores, only a slight UT increase depending on a person's available CL's.

My FU is currently on a 12 month 0% rate already until july, so if i need to I can just use it.

If they offerd this deal on my Sapphire card I might bite depending on the rate.

What is the difference between citi flex loan and balance transfer? Both will still eat up my credit line, right? Then isnt balance transfer better when this are promos like 0%?

The citi flex loan usually is a worse rate than a 0% bt.. advantage its cash sent to your checking account ... and you still can use the card ... unlike a BT where if you have an ongoing BT its not easy to use the card for daily purchases without getting hit with interest (theres a few exceptions.. theres workarounds for both Discover and Cap one... Discover you try for a 0% on new purchases on top of the BT and Cap One calculates different, but have been told you can use a bt, and still keep your grace period on new purchases.. if i understand it correctly, perhaps someone with a CapOne can explain it more accurately) .. and you can draw it out a citi flex loan longer than a 0% bt... thought i saw 36 mo as an offer..

I think a 0% BT is a better route assuming that person has other cards to use interim.

I logged in to see what Chase was offering, and it was $11K of my CL with 8.99-10.99% APR. lol

That's pretty much the standard, so no thanks. If it were closer to 5% then I might have considered it.

I have this as well!

I'm on the desktop verison.

Clicked on my Freedom Unlimited account, then Manage Account, then scroll down Credit Options and Tools. I clicked here and am given a window that says something like My Chase Loans. If I click on Request a Loan, it takes me to yet another window that says I can take out a loan on my Freedom Unlimited Credit Line (which is currently $6400) of up to $5250 and no less than $3500 at 6.99% to 8.99%.
