IS anybody aware of the Connecticut PGA credit card offered in conjunction with Avidia Bank? The webpage says it earns 3 points per $. What is the cash value for each point?

I know nothing of the card, or the bank. I did a quick google search for Avidia, and the reviews were terrible!

They're Scorecard rewards points. Those have no cash value and you redeem them via the Scorecard Rewards portal.

Don't need another 3%. Pretty content with USAlliance. What i do need is a 3% MC as I can then start paying my monthly mortgage using plastiq. That would net me 100s of $'s each year.

The website clearly mentions "Redeem for merchandise, cash and gift cards" so there seems to be some way to redeem the points for cash that maybe bypasses the ScoreCard rewards.

The Avidia bank page for it's cc's also clearly mentions "Get CASH BACK for your reward points" here: https://www.avidiabank.com/personal/avidia-rewards

The only question is what is the value of each point for cash back redemption. Will call up today and find out.

The only MC ones I'm aware of is Tropical CU in Florida and Logix in CA (requires 100k with them though).

Tropical FCU is stricy geo-fence with no backdoors. Opportunity cost lost in putting 100k in Logix in cash accounts negates any savings made with a 3% card.

Regardless, I am hopeful a 3% MC trend will start from the TFCU offer or is hiding somewhere just like how a 3% Visa signature trend has started

I set my UsAlliance card up on plastiq to see how it bills, maybe I will get lucky.

I pay my school loans through plastiq have for years.

This card looks interesting.

If I'm reading the FAQs and the T&Cs correctly, it looks like points earned expire after 3 years? Also that you need a minimum SL of at least $10,000, for the Platinum card? (I only see the option to app online for the Platinum card, not the WEMC version as well?)

Redemption of 4000 points equals $25 so $100.

So its not even a 2% card for cashback.

$1333 for 4000 points at 3%.

So it's like a 1.88% card for cashback if my math is right?

Looks like @JamP has mostly answered the question. The page he linked learly shows 4000 points equal 25$ or in other words 3 points/$ = 1.875% cash back.

The page also states these points can be earned via both debit card or cc.

Looks like this card is a dud...the search for the elusive 3% MC continues...

@batsy71 hey I'm not too familiar with plastiq. Their fee is 2.5% correct?

So a 3% cash back card will get you 0.5% in cash back right?

Not much but I guess it's something for a regular payment like mortgage
