PenFed offers?

First off, unsure if this is the right section, mods please move if it isn't. But just joined PenFed since it's no longer a HP, upon logging into account, at the tab that says main menu there's a few boxes and one is for the PC rewards visa and the other is used car, are these the offers that people talk about? Or just marketing. If it's not how do you get offers with penfed? Thanks all for reply's.

No, I don't have a box that says view offers. Seems I have none then 🤣 penfed is weird EQ FICo 9 is 729 per synovus would think I could squeeze something out of them.

You probably can. You'll need to take a HP to find out though.

Correct. Their application page has even been updated to say that their credit check will not affect your score.

Lets just say i was willing to burn a HP on EQ, whats the underwriting like for the different Penfed cards? im assuming the platinum rewards is more difficult to get than the rest?

They look closely at DTI. If income is in line, you have a good chance.

They are tough to figure out. One minute they approve anyone and then UW gets a little crazy.

It's a terrific FI to be a member of. Once you're in building credit history. Everything else will follow.

I would imagine the Platinum Rewards and PCR are the hardest to get and the Gold is the easiest.

Op what you are asking about are marketing offers pure and simple. What @Gmood1 is showing are real offers though until i get one ill have to Discover DD it

I just received an offer in the mail and accepted the card with a $9k cl. That was only about 30 minutes ago but I have not received any notification of a hp which usually happens almost immediately.

Pulled trigger on PCR, denial, called UW. Says penfed risk factor is only denial reason she said I probably shouldn't have funded a savings account with $5 and then apped a card 4 hours later 😂 told me re apply in a few months. Doubt that will happen since EQ has 8 inq now.

Hi,

I tried to join today after reading this thread via the online application and at the very end, I received an error message. I then called and the CSR tried she also got an error message and was unable to complete my application. She had another CSR call me back, a nice fella who informed me he had been there for six months and that it ALWAYS an HP for membership???
Can you direct me to where it says membership applications do not affect your credit score (SP) so that I can HUCB tomorrow and hopefully join successfully via a SP? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Just tried again and it gave me the same error message. I am blocked for some reason.
