BB&T - sometimes you gotta laugh! 🤣

Anyone who reads this who has seen any of my BB&T posts know how frustrated I have been with the pre-q site showing me one time (or 2) the 3 offers and then since then poof, nothing, no matter how many times I have tried.

After apping for a few cards since then, just for the heck of it, I pre-q the site today and wouldn't you know it, it worked! All 3 being offered for the taking.

However, I keep restraint and kept to my gardening!

Gotta say it was tough. I mean yeah, its a SP, but there is no guarantee it would be approved.

If one of their cards was a little juicier, maybe. But right now I am not biting

and on the non member prequalify site. They allways come up for me within 3 weeks. For the record I have 13 Peachy

I keep them in a bowl next to my coffee in the cuboard. Gonna need a bigger bowl soon LOL!! They have all reported

I know I read that thread (good stuff lol) - but if I may ask (since I forgot), what was the high vs the low on SLs for those cards if you don't mind me asking? Curious if they just give the stanard SL for each card, or does it vary?

If I knew they would approve and if I knew it would be at least $10K SL, I would come out of gardening for that to up my util. But there's no guarantee so for now I'm staying put. Plus my luck with BB&T those offers won't come back again 🤣

What you can do is go to this thread and compare your apr to their apr's and their sl's.....not an exact science but gives an idea. I have posted that before and someone did receive a higher limit than what the apr suggested so it's a ymmv thing like anything else.

Also, those apr's were before apr's decreased with int. rate adj. end of 2019.

Hoping this doesn't go too much off topic, but do you think it hurts us to use pre-qualify tools too much?

I check offers all the time cause it cures the itch and let's me know where my credit health is, but I do hope it doesn't show up on my profile like I'm just out there credit seeking. Anyone know?

@Hut1 I doubt it; those sp's are not for the prying eyes of creditors or they wouldn't be burying them within our reports for our eyes only.

Now whether that particular creditor, who provides the free prequal, keeps a record could keep count, but they provide it for a reason and their algorithms may utilize that info. to factor into their existing customers' data....again, just a guess for that scenario but I wouldn't do a whole lot of prequals in that situation.

I wouldn't use that data being the apr. I've seen many different SL given in many different apr range.
