Lowes card eligibility?

Hi all,

I know this is really just spitballing, but I am looking to get a Lowes or HD card this week coming up. We are closing on a house and I will need a few things.

I understand Lowes pulls TU, my TU bankcard 8 is 620, and my TU bankcard 4 is 647, not sure which of those they would use. Qualified for the house with a middle mortgage FICO of 651. The FICO scores listed are good as of today, just pulled updated report this evening.

Can anyone tell me the ballpark for approval? I would imagine that having just gotten approved on the mortgage would possibly help but I also know it's case by case basis. Other cards I have are a $1000 Guitar Center card that's at about $400 balance right now, a Discover with $2900 CL that has a $600 balance, and a $350 CL Stage card with a 0 balance. These cards are all paid as agreed, with no lates at all on them.

Also, I recall seeing something about calling for CLI once you get approval, is that still the deal? We have some appliances to buy and this would be the plan if possible, to open the new account for those. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Lowes is through Synchrony Bank. They normally like to see usage before CLI

Home depot, you can call and see! Both cards pulled TransUnion for me.

I have seen approval as low as 650ish.

Given you already have few inquiries, I'll say just go for it before going to garden 😂

Last I recall, synchrony used standard FICO 8 scoring.

You might get a higher SL if the mortgage was already reporting before you apped.

At least that's my theory. Lol

Where can I get a Vantage 4 score? Credit Sesame still uses Vantage 3.0....Thanks

Thanks, was hoping to get a preview of 4.0 before I applied though. I wonder how different it is from 3.0.....my TU 3.0 is 670

I went back and looked at my TU vantage 3 score. It was identical to vantage 4.
