Capital one platinum to quicksilver upgrade

Just wanted to say thanks for whoever posted the link to check on card upgrades. I had the credit step program with the Platinum card and a $300 limit. Got to my fifth month, bumped it to $500, decided to try the upgrade thing, and had an offer to upgrade to Quicksilver. I'd have assumed it would be a quicksilver one, but its the regular one. Still has the same $500 limit, but I'm using it and paying it off regularly, so hopefully this one will grow in another 5 months?

Cap1 started me with a $500 limit on my Platinum that they upgraded to $1500 after 6 months or so. I found the same upgrade link and PC'd to Quicksilver, which was followed by another auto-CLI to $2500 a couple months later. (Doubt I'll see further increases, as I appear to have one of their subprime "bucketed" cards)

Congratulations on your Credit Steps CLI and PC upgrade to QS!

I have 2 more months to complete my Steps program, and my $500 will auto CLI to $750. My Cap1 Platinum 3rd statement cut 2 days ago so I PIF the Min Pmt. I just clicked on the PC upgrade link out of curiosity and a pop-up message said this wasn't an available option for me. Guess, I'll have to wait a bit longer...

Congrats. I was able to do something similar with my $3500 bucketed Platinum MC (turned it into a QS).

I am in about the same position as you. My 3rd statement cut yesterday. I haven't rushed to pay yet, but did try the upgrade link and no dice, yet. I would be curious when you finally get your upgrade if you could keep us posted! I will do the same!

Have you tried for the early $100 cli yet? I almost went for it, but I am waiting until my CRs update. I doubt it makes a difference. It seems as though they SP quarterly (for me). They did their 1st sp at the beginning of April, so next sp will be in July. I am wondering if that is when I will get the cli and/or upgrade.

Thanks for the info @Anonymous. Sounds like we're both on the same track. I'll let you know when I have any luck.

I'll probably wait until my Steps completes before I try my PC again. Hopefully, I'll have enough cred with them by then.

I didn't know you could try for an early $100 CLI?
