Marvel Mastercard CLD :-)

Hi guys,

Have been in having fun mode for the

better part of two weeks,so not alot of

internet time. I signed into one of my

email accounts and read a report from

a credit site saying Synchrony took my

10K Marvel card down to 4K.

Now in a time of credit drama I ask

myself the important questions,like

Do I Actually Have This Card?

I walk into my kitchen and pull down the two bowls of

CC's I keep in them. Start flipping through them.

In order of first bowl I pull off 78K in BB&T cards..13 of them.

Next up WF Propel 10K card,Walmart MC 15K,

Cathay Pacific 5K,Discover It card 17K,Rakuten 3K,

PSECU card 15K, Walmart store card 10K, Paypal Mastercard 6K

TruMark FCU Card 12K<still in the funnny paper holder,LOL,

Bocovs card 28K, PFFCU Card 15K,Discover It card 5K

Synchrony home card 25K.Then I find my Marvel Card.

So I do have it

My point in this post is I only made it through half of the first bowl

and I just have way to many to keep active.

I have the bulk of my credit in Credit Unions

and local banks,

and that makes me sleep well at night :-)

So the CC companys are going to start cutting me<and maybe you>

for some of these cards I dont use.

I have allready cancelled all my Cap One cards,save the Walmart

Synch leftovers. And a Kohls card.

Comenity allready canceled my 19K Wayfair card.

I have no problems with this but am posting BC

it might matter alot to someone that these banks

are cutting CL's or just cancelling them.

Just remember Tough Times Don't Last,

But Tough People Do :-)

Glad I didn't have to go through the second bowl ;-)

You underestimate the never been married,

no steady GF man @AllZero...the designated spot

for socks in my house is the floor near

the laundry basket :-)

Glad you are enjoying life and having fun.

Maybe one day when the cards outgrow my wallet I will employ the bowl method.

I have one card that has been dormant one month. Gonna have to throw a charge on it. Thank you for the reminder.

Thanks for sharing, sorry about the CLD, dh had his marvel slashed from 10K to 1K, from a tip here I went on and requested a CLI it went right back to 10K, not sure how long it will last though.

My wayfair was also closed, but I won't miss that one too much.

Say what one will about Sync but Marvel card is one of the coolest out there, open, closed , or cld. Sorry @UH_HUH at least it wasnt closed.. im not even checking to see when mine get closed or cld. Like you, i have enough cards to weather it and in a world full of...... i only need 1 card to swipe

Yep, that was my tip, BUT only if the amount goes down automatically to either 1024/1028 from non use. Rumor has it they are doing manual reviews for these CLDs now, so might not work in your situation UH-HUH.

Thank you @Jnbmom and @M_Smart007 and all the other posters

who mentioned restoring my CL. I literally just woke up from

a nap. Have had weird sleeping cycles. Anyhow I went to my

Marvel account and was ready to hit the CLI button

when I noticed...there was not one. They shut the account down.

I will not be calling Synchrony. Why ask to restore a credit account

I dont use. Important DP for others might be,

if your account gets CLDed...ask for that CLI ASAP :-)
