What's the highest limit on Car Care

Would like to pad utl on this card if I use it. Current cl is $10k. I'm looking at $3.5k (?) could be a little more, in auto work. Should I request more or is this the ceiling?CAR CARE...beep beep

$15K shouldn't be too difficult for you. They normally will give that without issue. I've seen $20K in the forums from certain members. I got $15K when I did the request a few years ago. Now down to $6k or so. They'll reduce it if not using, but easy to get it back with a phone call.

I never bothered asking for it back. CSR was going to raise it back up. I told him to leave it as is.

Thanks for the reply @Gmood1 Should I ask before the transaction or after? Largest spend to date is $975 and pd. the promotional purchase off in two cycles, that was 4 months ago. I put a little spend on it every month, probably around $130, but would that look like an unjustifiable request? (asking before this large purchase)

I've noticed that carecredit has been good with CLI I went from 1500 to 2500 > 7500. At the end of this year I'll ask for another CLI get it to 10k.

Your spend on it was more justified than mine. lol

You'll be fine. I can't remember my highest balance. It was lower than $975. They had no problem with $15k.

It's a SP, so you have nothing to lose.

I've thought of using on some exercise equipment in the future. Maybe take advantage of a promotion or something.

@creatorprime Yes, synch was awesome to me on my Care Credit as well. This cli I'm wanting to request is for another one of Synch's card....Car Care.

Ever since this pandemic though I'm a little scared of Synch.

I'd put the charge on my dh's Amex, 15k cl with 0% for probably another 10-12 months (not sure) if it wouldn't freak out Synch with that VS4 score.

Lol, I need advice in a couple of different ways. Should I split the cost, put on two different 0% cards, or one card or Car Care? See Synch does make me nervous...is it worth trying to even keep this tl open since I (we) have better cards. Sorry y'all and ty in advance for any advice.

All of these Synch cards are fairly similar.

Well, I wouldn't worry about who its scares. Use the cards that benefit you the most. If you have a 0% purchase promo on a card or two, use those.

Oh well @Gmood1 I just tried for a cli and was denied. So now I may just put the charge on a different card and forget about them.

This may be one of them you have to call. Synch is funny that way. Some of the CC's you have to call and request. While others allow limits above $10k without a phone call.

car care is 10k max with online request and care credit is 20k. After you reach there max with online request the denial letter will say you have reached the max allowed (for that card) that the system can process. Then you have to call to get an increase.

Thank you for the welcome. In my experience that usually reqiure a 3-4 month window between increases or you might get the dreaded denial with the not enought experience at credit limit. I just had mine raised last month to 15k and I just put gas on it a few times a month to keep them happy. I havent herd it lately but be carefull with car care it is synchrony financial and they might hp you. Mine was a sp. Hope this helps.

Hey you were right, got the letter and it states 10k is the highest. Since I decided not to put the charge on this card I won't be calling. Dh's Amex had better terms, higher limit so I did that instead.

Mine is $4,000 which is way too high for my needs. I wish I had not asked for an increase about 2 years ago. It had been at $2,000 since approval and I asked for an increase which went to $4k. Rarely use it, only to keep it from being cancelled, and $500 would be more than enough.

My bill yesyerday was $4200...sick, I didn't wanna be that high in utl. Next week the RV needs some luv, will hopefully slide in better on this card.

I totally agree not being greedy but in a pinch, the more the better.

Don't forget care credit can be used at walmart for some health and beauty items and for prescriptions. It helps if you just need to keep it active.
