US Bank CC $5,000 limit with ficos in 650-660's

Just letting everyone know I just rec'd a US Bank Travel Rewards card with a TU664 and Ex 656. I had a card default within the past 4 years with US Bank. (Which I paid in full) and they still issued the new card!

I also opened a checking and savings acct with a combined $7500 balance so that might have helped.

Congrats. Besides the scores, what are details about your inq's on your CR's and new recent credit approvals and balances on your existing cards? Probably you have very low inq's and new accounts, that helped you with your approval.

I got a bike loan that I got 6 months same as cash, and I'm hoarding cash to pay it off over the next 2 months. Will apply for US Bank, probably business cc. Hope I do as well as you did.

I applied with them 8 mo ago, have good scores, but pretty thin file. got 10 000 instantly, got it increased to 14 500 a month ago

Those were the days of easy credit and financial markets crashed after that. I am not sure if banks are that easy in approvals now a days.

According to their website, US Bank operates in 24 states, including Florida. I'd call their app center.

Do you have a link for that info. I looked before I posted and all I could find was their call center which is very close to where I live. (Along with about 100 other call centers.) No branches around here. This could put them on the future list. They would be very handy as we also have a Milwaukee connection and they are big there,

If you scroll down to the box that says "state" and hit the drop down arrow it lists the 24 states it operates in. Florida is one of the states.

I was there before. The list contains 28 states and they operate in 24. The search returns no location for any major city in FL (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville). US Bank does have backroom operations in the state.

FL locations are shown in the employment section of the website. They are also revealed by a Google search. There is no branch location is this area, There is one ATM in this county that comes up as located at Albertsons. That's it. And I don't exactly live in podunk.

FYI - There have been multiple other posts here recently regarding US Banks flat out refusal of applications from outside their operational area. Hence my question.

Since I'm curious, I went to the US Bank account application for checking/savings account. It asks for your zipcode to see what products are available in your area. I entered 33601 (Tampa) and it proceeded to offer all their checking account products. Apparently, they will open a checking account in Florida.
