He can only hit the sub for the CSP if he uses it to pay his 6 month car insurance which is due September 10th. All of his scores are over 800. He has the FU- $5900, Discover-$10,000, Synchrony Amazon-$1300, Synchrony Google Card-$1100. He's an AU on several of his moms cards that gives him an AAoA of about 20 years. I know normally you should put about 6 months between Chase apps. But do you think he would have a chance of getting it with only 3-4 months of having the FU? The only inquiries he has in the last 12 months are the Discover and FU. He doesn't have any pre qualified cards on Chase, but his car loan is through them.       <description>&lt;P&gt;My Chase apps were only a month apart because I didnt know any better.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;With that said, I think three months is sufficient enough not to worry about AA on the existing account, but whether he will get approved, that's a whole another can of worms.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Chase "strips" AU accounts, so they shouldn't count on that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's just a HP (or two). If this is the right times, he should give it a try.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

CFU earns 1.5 UR everywhere, so net net points earning is not going to be much different from CSP.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;6-month insurance payment comes due again March 2021, and CSP / CSR will still be around then.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Heck, travel might even be a Thing by then. For now, it seems a rare US resident who will be able to subject themselves to foreign transaction fees.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

He was happy to get the CFU, but this is the card he really wants. He's just going to bank the points and hold onto them until he can travel. He does spend a fair amount a year on travel between hotels and flights, so he feels it will fit his spend. The CFU is his daily driver. He hasn't really touched the Discover since he got it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

What stinks is that Chase will actually approve two cards in the same day, but they'll end up closing one within a few days. Why they don't simply tell you that you're "ineligible" like Capital One does is beyond me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Applying for Chase cards 30 days apart seems to be OK. We usually advise three months as being better.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
