Amex BCP

Ok checking my current activity. I have gotten 6% on grocery 3% on gas and all others I should get 1% but not one of my "others" have gotten the 1%?

Anyone else have this happen? Going to jump on chat but wanted to ask.

I have nothing wrong with mine, but I just have 6% stuff.

Are you sure you're not looking at an older month? Or maybe some stuff is unexpectedly getting 3% or 6%?

I just ended chat they said I am getting the 1% just not sure why it is not displaying and gave me the amounts per transaction so it appears I am getting it just not displayed which is weird ?

I had this happen once on my old EDP card. I'd had my monthly home alarm payment on it and they did not credit points for that purchase for some reason. I called the number on the back of the card and they fixed it for me.

Be aware also that purchases can sometimes be coded as cash advances depending on how the merchant processes it, and those will not earn points.

You mentioned "current activity" in your original post, so I assume you are looking at the Statements & Activity page? Only bonus earnings are ever listed there. Any charge that is only earning base earnings will be blank in the 2nd column. You will always earn base earnings on all of those charges as long as it's not a disqualified purchase. Here's an example showing only 4X Points next to those categories and blanks for base purchases (Amex Offers so I was okay with the 1x earning LOL).

this is why you should close all Amex cards and just go with Credit One
