They pulled Experian for me, and I'm in Texas.

Can't suggest a credit card for you. It depends on what your CR looks like, and your scores.

What you can do is to go to: http://www.whogavemecredit.com/index.php?page=search.php

and play around with changing things(state, FICO score, individual ccc, etc)

my experian is 694 with 2 collectiom account from 2001, 2002 and a 30 day late from 2006 feb

Not a bad score, considering your collections. Your score would be really good if you got them off the CR. Are you attempting to resolve those collections? They are really hurting you.

As the preapproval form states, it's not an application for credit(hard pull). It will be a soft pull for you.

Do not despair. I'm sure there are several sub-prime lenders out there that you can get a cc from.

IMO, with your 2 collections on your CR, You may not be able to get a prime card from any lender. But that is just my opinion. I really have no experience with prime lenders other than WaMu, and Cap1.

I have heard that is pretty typical so don't worry. BofA sent me a pre-approval for an Anne Geddes world points amex, I thought what the heck so I apped. FIA pulled EQ and gave me the 30 message. Called 2 weeks later and they did a manual for me while I was on the phone, pulled EX then, asked me about some old baddies from 03 and said they like to see 5 years but she approved me for 500cl when it came cl was 1000. My score were EQ 615 EX 618. I think you have a pretty good chance if you don't get instant approval call them.

I did the BofA soft pull online it said "we are sorry we cannot offer you a card at this moment" I said Ohh well. So a week goes by and I get a pre approval letter for BofA I said what the heck so I went online and entered the promo code on the letter and after a minute or so it said "Congratulations you have been approved your card should arrive in 7-10 business days.

BTW: they pulled TU on me

They pulled Experian for me (Louisiana). And, upon activation I requested a CLI and the soft inquiry also came from Experian.

Hey, maybe that's what happened with me! About three weeks ago, someone here posted that they were taking apps online. I app'd and they offered me a partially-secured card. I just snickered and left it. (Soft inq, BTW.) About two weeks later, they sent an offer for a World Points card. Into the shredder it went--it looks like I'm going to be high-maintenance for any CCC's, so I want to wind up with kind-hearted companies.

I only applied for Hooters and was approved.

I am not going to apply for anything else for a while as I am focusing on increasing my scores now.

no, but I applied for a CLI on my Fifth Third Bank card that I've had for over a year and never heard anything back. Never late and usually pay in full. But get this, 2 days later I applied for AMEX Delta and received call next day to verify home phone. I got my card on Friday, $3400 with %17.7 APR. I will wait until march or April to apply for Hooter when I get my TU of 612 up to 660 and ditch 5th Third for being disrespectful with this $500 limit.
