I was expecting to receive a measly ~$50 for the sign up bonus. Checked the Verizon app today an it was $411.35!!!!

It is pretty sad what many of us pay for our phone service, I am lucky that my portion of my T-Mobile bill is reimbursed through my job but still we pay $170 for two lines. T-Mobile can afford to give us some stuff on Tuesday's just like Verizon can afford to give someone $412, they will get it back in a few months for sure.

With that said, a break is a break, and $412 free dollars is nothing to shake a stick at so congratulations to those who received it. For those with a single line it is even better.

That actually looks like a pretty nice card, too. Good categories! I just switched to Verizon, and snagged their $450 Verizon gift card offer for bringing my own device and activating a line.

I think I need to point out that I was just joking. I know that people who need reliable service pay for it and I wasn't trying to slam anyone for choosing to pay more. I pay $13.68 a month for my cell phone on Xfinity Mobile but $130 a month for my home internet. We pay for what we prioritize. I was just making light of the fact that Verizon is more expensive than the other postpaid carriers and all of the postpaid carriers are more expensive than the MVNOs that buy service from them. With Verizon, you do get what you pay for and if you need it, it's worth it. The same as my $130 Comcast internet bill is probably crazy to most people but it's worth it to me.

$400+ for the same service you always had is a great deal.

Holy Cow! I, too, was not expecting much. Maybe $10-15... certainly not over $400! Woohoo! Time to buy a $2000 Samsung folding flipping whatever phone! Kidding... that isn't ever going to happen.

And for those saying Verizon is more expensive, YMMV. For us, we pay $34.30 each for unlimited everything (taxes and fees included) thru Verizon each month (5 phones on the plan at just over $170 with taxes and fees included). Plus free Disney+ (may opt for the free Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+, but will need a $10 upgrade on 1 of our lines) and a monthly $5 Verizon Dollar deal. I used to complain, but pricing has gotten much better for us than it was in the past.
