USAlliance HPs

Got a phone call from a USAlliance CSR encouraging me to apply for a credit account

Long story short, he told me that HPs are good for 30 days no matter how many apps you submit; not including mortgages. Also, credit card approvals generally takes 1 - 2 days.

They are not georestricted

I didnt know if this info was readily available so here it is in case it wasnt

I'll add in they pull EX

They also pay for your membership eligibility with a free American Consumer Council membership, it only took me a dollar to fund the new checking account, I think they might've given me that dollar, too.

Cheaper than the other 3% card CU AOD to gain access, but I feel UW is tighter, though AOD is also bit tighter now than back in April

AND .......... Their low interest Visa Classic is in the 8% range for those interested in APR

I keep hearing that this is a good membership to have as a lot of CUs that you can't get in some of their other listed ways, you CAN get in by being a member of the American Consumer Council.

Cheaper, but also a little less good.

1) Has a FTF (boo)

2) $25 min redemption (meh)

3) Has $25 increments (very big boo)

I was in the first wave with this card, prior to the AOD

It was a pain to get at that time, might have changed ?

DL, POI, SS, Additional proof of residency, Consumer Council and open a savings or checking with them.

Did get a nice looking Saving Account - Debit Card with the membership

Took a week of calls back and forth, question after question before approval.

Longest, most difficult process for a card that I ever experienced.

What I get for being the "guinea pig"

However it has been a great card for my spend.

A little over $60,000 last 9 months.

Have had no issues.

Had a fraudulent charge, called and they sent new cards, in-hand within 3 days.

Just for the CC app @Neiltyson

@Anonymous I don't think membership needed POI, in general it was a lot less needed to join USA than AOD

@Anonymous Thanks! Already a member tho. They Nerfed the card before I could get it, right after membership. Now I'm not ready.
