BBVA ClearPoints categories

I'm looking for a list of stores and their categories for this card. I'm specifically interested in Walmart and anything on Plastiq. If there's a list like this for other cards, please point me in that direction.

I have also read about people getting bonus categories. How often do they offer promotions like that?

As far as bonus categories, they just seem to randomly arrive; once I got 6x on gas.

Business services and Healthcare categories are quite interesting to me. What Business Services entails though- I have no clue.

Thanks for the info on the bonus categories. I would assume that business services would be something like Kinkos or Staples. Healthcare is probably a doctor's visit or maybe pharmacy? That's why I'd like to get a list to see how everything's coded.

The link was helpful. Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out how stores like Walmart and Target are categorized bc some cards don't categorize them as grocery.

As another point of potential interest, the utility category also covers auto and home insurance payments.

I think those stores may count as retail but I can't say for sure.

Walmart codes as Groceries here.
on the bonus categories, I have gotten a bonus offer every month this except 2.

Is it one of the neighborhood markets? I have read that those count as grocery, but the others don't. I guess that I will have to just test it.

The couple of Walmart Supercenters I frequent both code as grocery on the ClearPoints as well.

I've never received a bonus offer.

It's a WalMart Supercenter. My wife uses her's for in store Walmart, but we use the BCP for grocery pickup because it codes as groceries (6%). Unfortunately, Walmart in store codes as 1% in the AMEX in store.

It took a while for my wife to get a bonus on her's, but I got one the 2nd month I had mine.

Of course, I cycle around $1200 per month bills, utilities, insurance, etc through mine, so maybe that helps.

Yup, I just got 6X.

I guess I will use the BBVA card for groceries this month. The BCP is getting downgraded to BCE when my AF posts this month so this is nice.

Awesome! DW has groceries set as 3X (mainly for in store Walmart purchases) and I have mine set at 2X, so they are both effectively the same rate for us.
