MasterCard World Elite Cell Protection?

Has anyone ever used the benefits yet? Just want to know how hard the process over a Visa Signature Cell Protection.

I haven't used it, but be aware not all WEMC cards offer it.

I checked about in 2019 and my Barclays Aviator Red offered it. My Cap1 Savor and Citi DC did not.

The first two are now closed so I can't check, but DC still doesn't offer it.

That's interesting, I got my SavorOne last December and it had it included, or at least the Capital One World Elite benefits booklet that came with it said so.

That's interesting, I got my SavorOne last December and it had it included, or at least the Capital One World Elite benefits booklet that came with it said so.

It's possible they added it or that they had it all along. My reason for thinking they didn't is that when I started the claim process on the MC claim website, it rejected my DC and Savor card numbers while it accepted my Aviator card number.

That's messed up! MC and the card issuers have created a system so opaque that consumers don't know whether we have coverage until we incur a loss and try to submit a claim.

Imagine if your car insurance worked like that. Someone asks to see your proof of insurance and you hand them a mystery box and shrug. It's crazy.

I've been searching these benefits for quite a while, DC doesn't have it unfortunately but it turns out the new Freedom Flex does and a few others but its becoming harder to find.

At least limit wise, WEMC seem to offer $800 per incident, whereas VS is often a lot less (I've seen $250). I don't how they compare in ease of use, but my guess is the answer would be "Similar, and not smooth"!

The language on some card benefits is kind of ambiguous. Some benefit terms say they don't cover cosmetic damage, which they define as damage after which the device can still send or receive a phone call.

Phone cases have served me well, but I expect a phone could endure some pretty significant screen damage and be a major nuisance to use...but still be able to send and receive calls.

Some terms cover theft, others don't. Filing a police report (which some cards require) in the midst of travel may not be easy.

For now I'm just getting my $20 credits on Schwab Platinum.

Or worse yet, what kind of chemical poisoning happens to you?

Thare's a valid reason you're not supposed to continue using cracked LED screens...
