What does Amex sign up bonus appear as on your statement?

I recently asked an Amex CSR about sign up bonuses. The representative only says that the amount will appear in 8-12 weeks, but usually much sooner than that. I had my Amex CM since middle of Aug, and have already completed the spending requirement by middle of September. So far, still no info on when it will post. I did receive a strange $150 cash back in September, but from Zipcar, under the name "Welcome Incentive Cashback." Searched all over and asked zipcar about this promotion--no body knew what it was. Was it my Amex welcome bonus (just coded wrong)?

More than likely, your bonus was just applied as a statement credit. If the bonus was $150, and you spent that amount on Zipcar, it may have been applied to that purchase.

That was probably the last purchase that put you past the spend requirement, so it is the bonus

I just added my statement details until that cashback. The last purchase that went over the bonus limit was Zipcar. That clears it up so much. Thank you!

When i got my CM it had a 2 part SUB, i completed first part, received the $150 pretty fast, second part did not complete as spend requirement was too much for me
