Comenity Mastercard APR change

Did you notice your apr? Mine was that horrendous 26.99% when it was the Wayfair Card, immediately after conversion I requested an apr reduction that was rejected stating not qualified for reduction. Well, check your stmt (if you got one). I just noticed the new apr at 17.99% - figured I'd pass it along and hopefully it will make it a more palatable and doable piece of plastic for you.

Not so sure if you got one or not.. Along time ago maybe a year plus ago Comenity stated that they were raising my William Sonoma visa apr from something around 15.99 to 26.99 and others were getting this as well, but this never happened. I called them and they said they were doing it to everyone and only one APR would exist.. As mentioned this never happened and my AKC visa also has the lowest at 12.99 i believe.. So some confusion appears to be going on with comenity. This could possibly be your case

Okay, I called and the new apr is 17.99% but it may not be for everyone....so check your stmt. to see if your rate changed or not. Mine did, hopefully yours did too. If not, maybe it wouldn't hurt to phone in and request a rate reduction. Idk if my requesting in Sept. prompted it or not but I don't see where it would hurt to try.

@Rudy1 maybe you could put in a request sometime. I have two of their Majors now and both have had reductions over time.

17.99% is better than 26+%, but still somewhat high. LTL "Special Loans" Dept charges just 3%! OK, that's per day rather than per year, but not too much difference probably

Lol, yeah it still sux... just le$$ hahaha! However there's some hope I hope, my other Major was at @17.99% at one time and now it sits @ 13.99%.

Anyway, Less is More in this case. Hopefully others will be able to get a reduction as well. There may be times you'll have to let somethings slide, don't want big skidmarks.

Remember that when I originally asked I was denied stating the card was not eligible. So it's been close to 2 months, it might be the way for you too. GL!
