Macy's Amex question

So I just opened and received the card. I was setting up my online stuff and getting to know the online portal. I clicked on the "request a credit limit increase" button expecting it to bring me to another page where I input info at which time I would back out (like I said, just browsing and getting to know the site). Well all of a sudden I get a screen that says "thank you for your request" blah blah 7-10 day msg. I was like wait what?? I didn't want to request an increase!! Do I have to wait now 31 days from yesterday to request one now??? I'm so annoyed. @GApeachy maybe your can enlighten me?

The clock doesn't reset after each request, it resets after each cli approval. That's why we wait at least 31 days since last cli. More than likely the message will read something to the effect of "insufficient time since last review". Keep me posted plz, there will be an inbox message "the letter" explaining the outcome available probably by tomorrow afternoon. They'll text you a code to view it. You can look under manage account and scroll down to see documents.

I would not worry, it is a system denial because you asked to soon. Normally you would have to put in your Income and housing info.
