BOA cash rewards 3% google pay question

I'm sure this has been addressed many times, but a quick search didnt help....

Was thinking of apping the BOA CW Card. [title] Can I add this card to google pay and gain 3% cash back in store? I was reading a thread on Reddit where it should classify as an online order (no card used). Seems like a good card overall, and would help me out, but also curious about this, thanks for any feedback.

I have this card. The 3% category is where you purchase the product. not meduim of payment

For example if you buy on amazon.com (use google pay or pay directly with the card) - it is the same

below is taken from my bank of america rewards details:

Merchant examples**

amazon.com, dickssportinggoods, commacys.com, nordstrom.com, apple.com (includes iTunes & Store),

target.com, groupon.com, ticketmaster.com ,bestbuy.com ,kohls.com, nike.com ,walmart.com

"Some classes of merchants are excluded from the Online Shopping category such as doctors and hospitals, government services and taxes, insurance, membership organizations, schools, utilities and other non-retail services"

There is like $2500 limit per quarter, after that I think you can only earn like 1% on every transaction

Yes, using a wallet doesn't make a transaction online. If you want 3%+ in stores, you either need a 3% everywhere card (AOD/USAlliance/The Florida CU) or, if you always pay via wallet, the USB Altitude Reserve. Each of these requires some steps to get.
