How long to receive NFCU card?

Hey all! On 12/3 I was approved for the More Rewards Amex and they said in 5-7 business days I should recieve the card in the mail. However, I haven't recieved it yet. How long did it take you all to get the card? (I'm normally pretty patient, but was wanting to snag some Christmas gifts with it this week due to the SUB offer!)

Usually about a week as stated since they are printed and then shipped First Class Mail.

The USPS is running extremely slowly due to significantly increased volume right now, so I would allow a bit of additional time. I've had even 2- and 3-day Priority Mail shipments take over a week to arrive this month and it's been about 7-14 days for First Class Mail that normally only takes a few days.

@Anonymous I'm not sure if this is the same with all the cards. However, if you need to do Christmas shopping online, you should have access to your card details. The other potential workaround may be to use the app to be able to use the card as well.

We are able to access the full number on DW's cashRewards card as soon as she got it.

It might be a thing with your postal service. My son applied on 12/3 and was approved and received his card yesterday 12/14. We are in Maryland and mail from Virginia never take that long.

Excellent call-out here! NFCU gave me the account info for my More Rewards to use online. They sent me an email telling me I could start using the CC right away.

@Anonymous I agree with @Mr_Mojo_Risin to call NFCU and ask a CSR. I received an email the day after I was approved for my card with an email that gave details on how to access my new card.

@Anonymous I agree with @Mr_Mojo_Risin to call NFCU and ask a CSR. I received an email the day after I was approved for my card with an email that gave details on how to access my new card.

@Mr_Mojo_Risin and @credit8502020 I just sent them a message and the CSR said they can't give me any card information and that I can't use the card until it's been recieved and activated via the security PIN on the back of the physical card. I'll just have to keep an eye on it and hopefully it'll come in this week, I was hoping to make a big Christmas gift purchase on it.

Hopefully that means I'll get it in the next day or two - I'm in the Northeast.

For both my cards, I got them in about a week. I'd keep in mind the holidays as well since snail mail traffic may be higher.

Yep, same! On my latest card I saw the message 'access your card info'. If memory serves, this was sent to me via email and when I clicked the button it took me to verify my info. Once I did, I got the card info!

I received a letter dated the 4th that my visa is being "upgraded" to a VS and that the card was "on its way." I don't see it in my informed delivery for today, so I feel your pain.

just makes me nervous since it's the same number and exp etc so anyone can use it if they got a hold of it. Wish they would've changed the number so I would have to activate it, but I've learned it's always amateur hour at any credit union.

May I ask what area of the country you live in? I'm in New England, which made me think it wouldn't take too long since Virginia isn't terribly far from here.
