PenFed Shipping Time

I applied for PenFed on 12/1. Instant 20k approval. Signed all of their documents and agreements on 12/3. I still have not received my card in the mail. Is this a typical length of time for delivery with them, or should I be contacting them asking where my card is at this point? I appreciate any info or sharing of your personal experience with them. Thanks.

I haven't dealt with PenFed, but if you're concerned, it may be worht calling them to ask when it was mailed. If it was a while ago, they can always reissue it.

I remember Penfed being slow to ship my PCR card. As mentioned up thread, you might call to be sure?

I would give them a call as others have suggested. In my experience they are on the slower side. They quoted 7 to 10 business days for the amount of time to receive credit card.

The postal service is extremely backed up right now. That being said, I personally at this point would at least call and find out when it was mailed.

As someone mentioned, USPS is completely backlogged. I'm waiting for mine as well, as it's been 8 days(6-ish business days) since my PCR approval and signing docs. Still within the standard 7-10 days but I anticipate receiving it outside of the 10 days.

I remember how slow it was PRE-covid in getting my debit card mailed out when I opened my accounts with them in 2019.

If worried, just give em a call. My PCR is showing on my account dashboard, so as long as I can monitor, I'm not too concerned. Just a matter of patience.

They were the slowest in sending a card (I apped in June) out of the banks I've dealt with, IIRC it was about two weeks which is where you're at now so if it's not here by Friday I'd definitely be calling.

As a few others have said, the USPS has been slammed. With all the extra online shopping all the delivery outlets are completely consumed this year.

This month USPS has lost two packages for me.

One going and one coming, and many lates.

Most likely a USPS issue not PenFed.

It has been long enough, you are OK to call and check.

Just an update. I did give them a call, and they advised that I give it until Friday then call back and report it missing if it hasn't showed up. I'll probably wait until Monday to call back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it shows in the next few days.

I echo what others has said. USPS has been extremely slow lately. I've been waiting on a package that was mailed on 12/4. I can see the tracking scan and when I inquired yesterday I was told that they're experiencing some delays and I should expect it by end of the week. We shall see...

I haven't received my initial card(shipped 12/11), or my re-issued/expedited card as of today. Makes it 10 business days since the re-issued card was shipped.

I was recently approved for Pathfinder card and got it within a week. In some locations Post Office is running behind due to covid and some districts are behind due to holiday packages. I would give it few more days or call them to get it expedited.

I started getting stuff from them in the mail. Seemed like every day, for a few days at least. I'd get all excited and then realize there was no card inside. About the time I was getting ready to call and ask if they'd sent it, it showed up.
When I click applications on their website, it still says "Almost done" I have it activated and in my wallet.

Well, I got BOTH cards today. The one that was shipped out the 2nd week of December, and the re-issued/expedited card mailed out 1/4/21. 😂😂
