Amex occasionally has offers for Autozone. I see one for an extra 2% cash back. I don't know if that makes it incompatible with airline portals.

The 2% up to $150 back offer must be redeemed through a Cartera link, so it would not be compatible with any shopping portals:

Offer valid only for purchases made directly at essentials.cartera.com/amex/autozone.

Have you considered the Rakuten card from Synchrony? While I value MRs much higher than cash back and have mine set to earn them, for cash back the card would earn 3% on any charge placed with a participating merchant on top of the usual Rakuten earnings, including in-store offers you can enroll in.

If it's an item you know you'll 100% need and keep and have no intention of return, I would personally use cardcash or Raise to buy gift cards with a 2% cash (cardcash) or BoA Cash Rewards (Raise) to save money. Usually autozone gift cards are pretty good on value.

I saved around 15 to 20% by using portal with Raise and combining it with BoA. (Online shopping as 3%) I spent around 190ish dollars for a $250 battery.

Check your BankAmerideals and the equivalent with any other cards you have with a similar program as they somewhat regularly have capped 10% off Autozone deals.

Huntington The Voice has a category "Auto Parts Stores" at 3%.

AOD is 3% for now.

My Amex BCE has had a few offers over the years.

There are a few 2% cards on the market now.

Also, I use the Advance Auto parts website which offers 10%, 15%, and 20% coupons.

I use my 3% AOD card for in store purchases, coupled with the AutoZone Rewards card. The Rewards card gives $20 back on 5 purchases of $20 or more. Basically, it's 20% off $100. The only downfall is that if you have to make a large purchase, it only counts as a "purchase of $20 or more".
