HelloFresh no longer earning 6% on Amex BCP

Was looking at my Amex Blue Cash Prefered transactions recently and noticed that, as of December 2020, my HelloFresh transactions are only earning 1% cash back instead of the 6% they were earning up until then. They still code as grocery, but I guess Amex no longer considers them "supermarkets." Thought maybe I had exceeded the annual $6k spend cap, but I confirmed that's not the case.

Sigh, very disappointing to learn. We've been getting HelloFresh every week for the last 2 years, and the 6% cash back was really nice. Might have to downgrade my BCP because of this as I'm not sure my spend can justify the $95 AF anymore without HelloFresh.

I wonder how it codes now for points now. Maybe someone with a Gold Card can see if it codes for "restaurants".

Yeah that sucks for amex. It's why I have the botw for groceries, all my delivery has gotten 3% without fail. With the 5% with groceries, idk if that would work idk I find it hard to get a 5% with discover...
