Not always the easiest to use because a lot of travel is to cities where categories tend to be higher but still sometimes I can make it work.

I'm keeping mine for now, despite the upcoming AF hike from $75 to $95 (old Hyatt card). I'll be traveling more before too long.

But it's true that with demand so low, revenue rates at some of the properties eligible for the annual night are currently only a little over $100.

If the only factor was the certificate I would probably cancel. However, I know that I will be redeeming award stays at hyatt in the future so the minimal hyatt status does provide some quality of life perks and on multiple occassions I have gotten discounts on award stays because I had the card. Those two things while not huge on their own when combined with the cert pushes me slightly towards holding it. If I couldn't have award stays in the course of the next year I would cancel for sure. If I had the old $75 AF I would probably have held on to the card without hesitation.

I thought I wouldn't going to do no spending other than to keep it active but... I evaluated the points and I could get over 3c per point so it's good for me. I missed out on the bonus when I signed up but I see the value of it now. This is a card, I could see myself putting daily spending especially towards traveling.

You can get 3c per point on redemptions quite routinely and in some instances quite higher than that at resorts. Plus its 9 points per dollar (5 base, 4 card) when buying anything at a Hyatt property. That 9x means you're always getting 27% ROI, then you can dip with promotions.

At the moment I have triple points permotion and 10% cash back on my Hyatt card when spending nights in addition to the "usual" 27%.

Do you guys know if its possible to get 9x points on the hyatt restaurants without staying there? if I eat out at a regular restaurant I only get 2x points? How come this looks different...

https://creditcards.chase.com/travel-credit-cards/world-of-hyatt-credit-card

and

https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/en/rewards/hyatt-credit-card.html

On the chase site, it says you get 4x but on the woh site it says you get 9x? To me, I don't care about status, so you only get 4x, and the 5 points go towards the status tier or how does it work? Thanks!
