US Bank Cash Back 5% category question

Does the Cash+ 5% category cover,

1. Geico Car and Home Insurance

2. PG&E (Power Utility Company, charges $1.35 convenience fee, PG&E has partnered with an independent payment provider to provide with the option of using your credit card)

3. ACWD (Water company)

4. Republic Services (Trash removal company)

5. Comcast Internet

If they are properly coded then yes, with the exception of #1. There was a temp offer late last year on insurance but I do believe it is now expired.

I get 5% back on my Comcast/Xfinity bill, T-Mobile, and Netflix.

You must live in the Bay area 😂. I pay all those bills on us Bank cash and get the 5% with the exception of number 1. I tried charging a test amount to my car and Kaiser insurance but only got 1%!!

I don't think any of the "insurances" are covered by 5%

Ya I can't find any cards to cover insurance. That's why I use my BofA Premium Card with 2.625 back. Better than nothing.

I usually get two or three offers from Chase per year, so I just keep prepaying whatever I can.

If you have the BOA AAA Member Rewards Mastercard (no annual fee) and AAA auto insurance (and probably other AAA insurances too), you can get 3% cash back on the auto insurance and all other AAA purchases. You don't need to be a AAA member to get the credit card, though you might need to be a member to get the AAA auto insurance.
