NFCU nRewards Graduation question. Please help!

To anyone that can help; I opened my nRewards card up in April after paying a charge-off I owed them. Have since paid off a few collections and am sitting in the low to mid 6s, and just a couple months ago they raised my limit from $300-600.

Is this an indication that my card will become unsecured and graduate to the 2k? Though it hasn't been a complete 6 months, it has been 6 statements and not a peep. Could use any info. Am getting antsy!

If they raised your credit limit on a secured card, I'd wager to say it's already unsecured.

It's in my understanding that when the card graduates, it becomes a different card. Mine hasn't changed yet.

scroll down to the "How It Works" section and that will shed some light on your situation. Looks like you're in partially secured territory.

It's a partial increase which is interesting because a lot of us NFCU folks thought they didn't start doing the 3 mos partial until July. Any secured cards prior would be subjected to the 6mos review. I got my card in June and I just got my email saying it's almost time to review my account.

I was surprised when they gave it to me also. I'm really hoping that my card gets graduated! Will keep you updated. My 6 months will be the 16th of this month. Never got the 6-month review email.

I actually got graduated right before the start of the new year, so Dec 2020. Oddly, right before the card graduated, I had a balance of $563 when the statement cut. Before this I never left over 5%. No idea if that played a role, but I did find it odd. Good luck! I also still never got the "time for review" email.

Upon graduation did they increase your CL?
