Max. CL For Elan Fidelity Visa Sig....

Does anyone here have more than $25k for a CL on their Fidelity Visa given by Elan--and not carried over from when Bank Of America had the card some years ago? I just hit the $25k mark on mine recently and was wondering if I should even bother asking for another CLI at the next 6 mo. mark in August. Thanks in advance for replies.

Mine's $50K, but I don't think it matters whether any accounts migrated from BoA/FIA or were approved organically through ELAN/Fidelity. It's ELAN doing the UW (post-acquisition) for CLI requests.

This is true. However I was more or less excluding people who already had a $25k CL or greater already when Elan took over the accounts. Was wondering if anyone has gone past the $25k mark since Elan has been managing the card.

I'm not sure you'll find a lot of folks on here who have had a CLI higher than $25K, and there may be some in the ~$30K range, but you can roll the dice and try if you don't mind the HP. How much usage are you putting on it on average?

About the only one I can recall was @Saleen099 who had it go from $30K to $40K back sometime in 2016 when it the card was with ELAN (IIRC). It could be higher now so maybe he can confirm.

The last 3 CLIs I've had were SPs and in $4k increments. So I'll find out in August if they'll let me go to $29k. I don't put a ton of usage on it--but it is my current 2% general spend card for (except for business shipping--AMEX BBP gets that) so it gets a fairly good amount of spend.

Mine is 19.5k but I read somewhere (maybe DoC?) that this card is fairly easy to get CLI's without a HP on by using more than half the credit line. If your utilization is over 50% at some point during the cycle then they get pretty aggressive with more increases. It seemed true based on the few people who confirmed it worked but for me this means spending 10k+ on the card and I just don't have any good reason to spend that on the card, definitely not for the basic 2% cashback. (Sorry I don't have the source - just remembered reading it and figured I'd try it someday if i have a reason for a bunch of non-cat 2% visa spend - this is even less likely for me now that they cut the warranty.)

I got this card in June 2016, after its transition to Elan. I was assigned a $25,000 limit at the time, which has remained the same to this date.

There have been several months in which my spending was well over 50% of the credit line. If I recall correctly, one month it was exactly $24,999.76. I always pay my balance in full on the last business day of the month. I have never asked for a CLI and have never received one automatically.
