If I apply for the amex gold and platinum card together, will I get sign-up bonuses for both cards as long as I meet the minimum spend requirements?

Assuming you are approved for both and meet the spend requirements for both, yes.

Ok, thanks for that coldfusion. I read somewhere online, been trying to search again for the link, that if you apply for 2 cards with sign-up bonuses within 90 days, you only get the sign-up bonus from one card. I am not sure if anyone else here has data points counter to that (recent ones are helpful).

That may be a misreading of some of the unofficial YMMV account approval policies of Amex (you can get X cards same day, Y cards in 90 days, etc.). If approved, unless you received a popup during the application stating you are ineligible for a Welcome Offer, you are eligible for the Welcome Offer. Been a couple of years, but I did receive Welcome Offers on Delta Reserve and Delta SkyMiles Business Platinum that were opened within a few weeks of each other.

I think SUB/MR welcome points denial is only if you had the same product before.

I am looking into getting another Amex card (currently only have the Platinum) but can't find one that fits my needs.

Delta is my preferred airline for domestic but never internationally...

Hilton Aspire I have many points left over but I use IHG & Wyndham....

It's pretty well known that if AMEX thinks you're chasing MR a bit too aggressively for their liking they will warn you after you submit an application that you will not be eligible to collect a SUB and then give you the option to either proceed or exit the application before they process it.

A good way to trigger that is to put just enough spend on each of your current AMEX cards to meet each SUB requirement and then sockdrawer the card(s); conversely a good way to overcome that is to put significant spend on your existing AMEX cards for several months and then reapply for the card.
