Credit One Offers?

Before I get tar and feathered for even mentioning Credit 1 in a positive light, I've noticed over the last several months that they've had some decent offers. This month is the second time DW has received a $10 dollar statement to spend $300 on the card. It's nothing special, but it is 3.3% cash back and stacks on top of the existing 1% cash back. That's 4.3% cash back for $300 worth of spend, so it's definitely not bad.

We only still have this card because C1 waived the AF, and it's DW's oldest account. Unlike some accounts I've heard people mention here, it does have grace period.

I'm wondering if Credit One is trying to improve its status from being a rebuilder/predatory lender, or if they are just trying to keep account holders? Either way, I'll probably find $300 of uncategorized spend this month and get a little extra cheese again. If so, this will be $26 worth of cash back we've got from Credit One. Who'da thunk it??

Doesn't Credit One still charge interest as soon as a transaction posts? Meaning that you have to basically pay the charge off day of so you can reap the cash back? Seems like Credit One is trying to get more customers because they'll probably make all the cash back offers back via interest charges.

Her card had a $1500 SL, 1% cash back, a normal 25 day grace period, and it only had a $39 AF. I've seen people who had no rewards $300 cards with $75 AFs, so they aren't all created equally.

It was her first CC and I fully expected to have closed it by now, but with them waiving the AF, we really have no reason to close it. We've literally used it once in over a year to get the $13 cash back a few months ago.
