DCU - Visa funds transfer to savings account option

Recently I opened membership with DCU and got their platinum Visa card. I have an option to transfer funds from my Visa card to my saving account. I just verified through chat that there is no cash advance fee and the APR is 11.5 same as purchase APR. Thought to share incase someone needs this option.

Thanks @Anonymous for mentioning that DCU feature. It's been brought up before in another topic but is good to read your direct results confirming it. New member here as well and decided for the balance of 2021 to build depository accounts with them awhile first. Really like the layout, services and other additional features DCU offers.

I've never used it, but knew option was available. The transfer function on that and traditional BT are super simple. Congrats!!!

not only that, the pin you will receive when you opened your membership. The pin that can be used for everything like when you call in to verify your membership, debit transactions, CA on credit card via ATM. etc

Yes they allow you to do online cash advances to your deposit accounts.

They also allow you to use your credit card credit line as an overdraft line of credit, if you opt in to that feature.

Yes their credit card can work as OD protection. It is still better for you than any other FIs that you have to apply separately, e.g. PLOC or CLOC. Also one of the best is their low apr 8.5% compares to others like 10% from becu, or penfed - nfcu 13.99% - 14.99% etc

It's annoying that you have to actually snail mail them the stupid form to sign up for it though. I never did because of that. NFCU gives me free OD if I pay it off same day (no interest on the first day of the CLOC advance from the two times I used it and paid it back from my other account same day) and 7.99% CA from my Platinum can cover any needs I know of in advance.
