Clear is an additional screening signup that should get you thru airport security approximately 4 minutes faster than TSAPre or Global Entry, by checking in at clear and then being "escorted" to the TSAPre line or the head of the regular line. It is not a substitute for those scanning procedures. It's designed for people IMO too disorganized to get to the airport a few minutes earlier.

I have Global ENtry, which includes TSAPre, and the only waits I've experienced are when some jerk in front of me decides to wait to unpack and repack everything right at the security scanner.

Note also that some of the Clear stations are not operating at this time due to COVID. So you're getting a "perk" which isn't really much of a perk. Global ENtry is a much better alternative, and works for international arrivals in the US as well as TSAPre for domestic flights.

You've got a Platinum card; get to the airport early, use the Centurion Lounge, get Global Entry, and enjoy.

It feels like each year lasts a decade these days so we may just be partying like its 2099 even if it is only tomorrow.

I know what Clear although I appreciate the education. I was surpised by so many null fields and the 2099 expiration. Even Twinkies don't last that long.
