Chase Co-Brand Card Offers - 5% back on Travel and Gas

Doctor of Credit is reporting that Chase is offering 5x/5% back on Travel and Gas purchases for some co-brand cards.

I think I might actually give this a try... I'll have to move some spend over from the Precious (Altitude Reserve), but 5% is (slightly) more than 4.5% and I would like to show my Amazon card a little love...

It's not clear if it's a statement credit or they add the bonus amount to the regular rewards balance; either way is fine, though. (Since the message mentioned "total of 5%" that makes me think it's added to the regular rewards balance.)

How do you earn 4.5% on Altitude Reserve?

Travel is a 3x category, and you get a 1.5x multiplier when you redeem rewards for a travel purchase using real-time rewards.

It worked on 8 of them, started with Ritz and Marriott CCs (Some examples below for those who were curious where it worked -- sadly, not the co-branded biz cards, at least not for me). These are a mix of the old offer and the new one. The old offer, in many cases, was uncategorized 5% and runs through 6/30. Some dingus posted about it in late March. You've got it on Bonvoy, Hyatt, IHG and Southwest. The new offer (thanks @UncleB!) is limited to travel and gas and runs through 8/15. You've got it on the other cards above. I think the old and new offers are mutually exclusive on any particular card.

Ah yes I noticed that after doing a little research while I was posting my pics. I must've missed your thread, but thankfully the previous offers still have some time and won't be an issue hitting the targets for any of them

Thanks for the link. This quarter I'm using the Freedom Flex + CSR Pay Yourself Back on gas to get 7.5%, but now I can use Chase Amazon for part of the quarter 3 (I am assuming Chase Freedom is unlikely to cover gas in both Q2 and Q3!)

Very nice but I'm have so many options for gas these days. Why must they all hit at one time?

Still in 10x on gas from the Amex Plat plus 3x MR offer on P66 at the pump. Hard to part with 13x MR on fuel. FF is 5x on fuel , now these co-branded.

I was able to add the 3x MR to my Biz Gold so once I hit the cap on my Amex Plat (should be there another week or so) then I'll switch to the Biz Gold for a total of 7x at P66.

I guess a good problem to have though.
