PenFed pre-approval weirdness

Ok.. I got an email this morning that PenFed had pre-approved me for a personal loan up to $20K. Not that I need a personal loan, but I decided to check it out. Signed in and it said credit card as well...

Knowing from here that you can usually take the credit card pre-approval amount and use it as a SP CLI on an existing card, I clicked on the apply button to see what was next... Well, there wasn't much

No cards showed up. Is this just a new page from PenFed that doesn't actually mean anything or is their website actually acting up?

IDK, but I'm seeing the same thing. I've never seen anything on "Offers" except free Turbo-Tax until now. 🤷‍♂️

Ok, so it isn't just me... I've had the Turbo Tax 99% of the time and once they put an offer for an auto loan. I saw credit card and I was thinking I could take the $20K and add it to my PCR while maintaining garden status.

Whats weird is i no longer see Turbo Tax in my offers. Now just 2 generic adds. Penfed has really gone downhill

The DW has the exact same thing going on as the OP.

I have my second offer for a card, The Gold @ 15.49%. I have my first "offer" 2 months ago for the Platinum Rewards which I accepted. That was my first offer since becoming a member in 2008. I don't want the Gold but would consider the Pathfinder or PC though I already have (3) other 2% CB cards.

I imagine that a pre approval for the Gold is not a pre-approval for any card???

Nothing but TurboTax since becoming a member 4+ years ago. Even after a paid off $23k Personal Loan few months ago.

Auto loan pre-approved offer showed up beginning of this month though coupled with a nice burner phone ad!
