BT Offers Returning

Looks like the banks are starting to loosen the Pandemic reins. I now have BT offers from Penfed, PNC, BankofA, Barclays, Discover, Sony Visa (Comenity) and Citi. Nothing from Chase and Huntington. Too bad I now have nothing to transfer lol!!

Hmmm, I don't think the offers ever left for everyone, but they certainly were more selective on who received them, profile-dependent of course.

Although I don't use them, I received several from local CUs, FNBO, Citi, Chase, BoA, US Bank, Commerce, Fifth Third, BBVA, PenFed, etc., since last year. The ones that pretty much were absent for most folks, like Comenity, appear to have made a comeback.

I've noticed an uptick in BT offers as well both online and via physical checks being sent USPS but I've also started seeing 0% APR offers on direct spend too the last few weeks.

Capital one, Chase, Citi, and Discover pulled my BT offers last year either due to my 3 card spree in April or pandemic or both. Capital one started back last month and Discover started Oct last year. Chase and Citi recently showed up.I have offers from Bank of America, PenFed, USAA(FINALLY!), US Bank, and Wells Fargo(only card with 4% transfer fee, others 3% except Capital One 2%).

I don't have anything from Navy or Apple(not sure if they do BTs).

I keep getting the balance transfers too and I too do not have anything to transfer. I wonder if they know this and sending out 0% offers to only people who don't need them LOL

I think not "only people who don't need them" but something closer to "only people that meet their criteria for being considered as currently financially stable". Even if someone needs it, if in their judgement the odds are sufficiently high that they will get repaid on time they'll extend the offer.

I with @FinStar on this. I still got 0% INT offers from Disco, PenFed and WF; no BT fee offers from BBVA at like 8% INT or so since last year.

I just got a BT offer from Citi after a notification was posted about it. Besides that, I haven't received any BT offer from any other card that I have (including discover).
