Does US Bank service credit cards or bank accounts to Georgia residents? Or....?

Putting in a random Atlanta zip, it appears that they don't offer bank accounts there (and probably the entire state). But their credit cards are available to all, and once you have one, you can then open a bank account.

no bank account directly but you can apply for a credit card and if approved, open a bank account that way.

For additional information, US Bank (back in 2019) planned to move into Georgia, Florida and Texas with Bank Branches. Due to our most recent circumstances they slowed their evaluation and expansion process. They did open in North Carolina. As this thread has stated, you can potentially open the door to become their customer in other ways.

Hmm.. I wonder if that explains why they have two random ATMs in Dallas when they have zero branches here?

To @RickNATL , I was able to open an account with them because my parents live in US Bank territory, and I used their address. Even though I haven't lived with them in years, their address is still on all of my public records. I just opened an account using their address, and then I updated the address later. I did have to get the debit card from my parents, since it was sent to their address. Otherwise, you will have to open a credit card or investment account to get a checking account.

Lets not suggest this, glad you didn't get your account closed and reported as closed to EWS for providing false information.

While it's on your CR, it's not accurate, and this is the one of the reasons banks have regulations.

Also, there are branches all around me but I had to provide copy of DL and SS card when I opened my first checking account with them

I also believe opening investment account bypasses any geofences, but credit card is easier. 👍🏻
