Blaze MasterCard - Interest Rate Reduction

Paging all Blaze MasterCard holders on this forum. Right now my Blaze MasterCard interest rate is set at 29.9% Did any of you were able to get the Interest Rate reduced after having the card for a while ?

I have not seen anyone post that they have received a reduction on interest rate for this card. But then again, I am only on this site for 3.5 years

Thanks @Anonymous I had the card for about a year so long. Received 2 CLI's. I always paid in full before the statement cut so I did not have to pay the interest on the balance. It would be nice to have a reduction in the interest. I'll call them tomorrow and ask them and see what they say. I am planning on keeping this card for a while. I have read posts here some of the members got their Limits increased to $5K on their Blaze Cards.

If you PIF each month then the interest rate shouldnt be a problem. But Ive seen where people have asked to get the annual fee waived. They had 3 choices. Wave the fee. Lower the interest 10% for 6 months and then again in 6 months you can try again for a lower APR. Or get a CLI. But the yearly fee stays on options 2 & 3.

Thanks @FireMedic1 I have no desire to carry balance on the card even if the interest rate is low. I'll stick to AF Waier and CLI every 6 months. So far they gave me 2 CLIs. One at the 6 month interval and second at 1 year interval. I had to call them ask for CLI. I am hoping for another CLI in November / December before Christmas.

I had Blaze but cancelled it when they wouldn't take away the AF. I payed in full too so the interest rate wasn't an issue.

Hi @disney2 I thought Blaze waives the AF after the first year. How come they did not waive AF for you. How many years did you had the card? What is the reason they gave for refusing to waive the AF.

They didn't give me a reason. I called and asked to have it removed and they said they couldn't (I'd had it for a few years and they had done it before) so I told them to cancel the card. They did without any problem. I have cards with much better rates and no AF anyway so it wasn't a big loss for me. I just liked the look of the card. LOL

I am sorry to hear that. I had my card for about 16 months. They wavied the AF in April after 1 year. How many CLI's did you get on your card? I got the card with $500 CL in April 2020. After that I got two CLis with $250 each. Now my card is at $1000 CL.

It was either $2000 or $2500 but I don't remember which one. I hated to see it go but once I got several good cards, paying an AF just wasn't what I wanted so had to let it go. He was very short with answers and quick to close it out.
