Target REDcard anniversary 10% coupon discontinued

Target has discontinued the REDcard anniversary 10% coupon that you get each year on the date that you opened your card. I was wondering why i didn't get mine and asked them. They said it's been discontinued and they plan to offer other discounts down the road.

A bit crappy but it's not a deal breaker.

You had to be signed up for their marketing emails and have the card linked to a target account online. I got it once.

Yeah, I've been shopping at target for a good 30 years so that's not the issue

Thanks for the heads-up.

IMO, the better choice for the REDcard is to get the debit card. You get the same benefits - 5% off Target purchases, extended returns, free shipping - on the debit card without the need to open a new credit card.

I didn't get them for a few years then *boom* they sent (USPS mail) 5 of them apologizing for missing them. At least they gave me 4 months to use them all up!
