Walmart grocery pickup still coding as groceries?

Is anybody having any luck getting Walmart grocery pickup to code as groceries anymore? It no longer seems to be possible after their latest round of app updates.

When was the last time you tried? My phone (android) just had an update 9/3. Not a fan of the new app. Are you using a mobile phone or desktop/laptop?

There was this thread a few months back but I just recently started having issues. Tried uninstall/reinstall but didn't work.

I did grocery pickup September 5th and it coded as grocery. Then again I went in tonight to put groceries for pickup tomorrow and noticed the app changed. Hope they didn't mess up the coding 🥴

It's funny you mention that. The app says updated 9/3 but I just noticed it a few days ago. Let us know how it works out.

I will. If they really messed it up looks like im doing ALL my grocery shopping elsewhere until it's fixed. Wanted to use my BCP on this Walmart pickup but I'll just use their Walmart card when I check out smh.

Yeah I saw that too but I was hoping some of the fine folks here may have found a work around. I may need to check if publix sells Walmart gc's lol

Just joined in order to comment on this as I came across it. As of last weekend it doesn't look like my grocery pickup orders from walmart are still coding as groceries, at least not with AmEx BCP. My charge from last weekend took so long to post that it dropped off my account before showing up this morning. There is no reward information associated with it yet, but the charge looks different from all the preceding purchases I made at walmart.com so I'm not very hopeful. There was also a thread posted on Reddit about this with other people only get 1% cashback from grocery pickup.

I noticed this week that grocery is now been intertwined into walmart.com so it is most likely due to this as there is no longer any differentiation between the main site and grocery. Since I have the WM credit card I would still get my 5% back.

Honestly pretty disappointing since I don't really want to go out and get another credit card just to be able to shop at walmart to maximise cashback. I know some people that have cancelled orders and left feedback indicating why. Chances are nothing will change but I guess it can't hurt.

Yeah decided not to even risk using my Amex when I saw my purchases come up to $115. Used my Walmart card instead. I'll just use the BCP at the other grocery stores I go to. Very happy for this post.

This pretty much sucks for us as well. A lot of our BCP spend is Walmart grocery pickup. This is probably by design to get more people to get the Walmart card.
