I received a call from American Express with a request for 4506T today after I requested invitation for the centurion card at; https://iforms.americanexpress.com/iFormsSecure/un/iforms.do?cuid=centurionEx_en_US&evtsrc=link&evttype=0&intlink=loginpageEOI

the rep said it's in regards to a request I made, on my personal platinum.

If my calculations are correct from statements I've ran about 319k YTD on the card mainly for business expenses and have a chase account strictly to pay my Amex & Chase business cards.

I got jittery and said OKAY ILL SEND IT IMMMMMEDIATELY!, the rep laughed (US based) and said it's a pleasure to welcome you.

I always seem to read about the high fees, the initiation fee and the concierge but I'd be curious to know what other features set it apart. I guess any service you deem necessary answers that but I'd love to hear them. For example, I think I've used their Concierge only a few times and didn't feel it was any more effective than my own process for getting tickets/reservations myself.

I wish you luck and success, reading an approval post here on MF would for me be a real treat. Would likely generate some latent hate from a few of the posters in FT's AMEX subforum though, a number of hopefuls hang out (or at least used to hang out) there.

FWIW - the personal Centurion is a lot stricter and more selective to qualify than the business version, especially in the past 5-10 years. So, if approved (or upgraded) pics or it didn't happen!

Eons ago, I received an unsolicitied invite for biz Centurion, but it just wasn't for me (although AmEx did their best to be persuasive in their courtship). It's a very nice card (as far as the wow factor goes) but that's about it.

Thanks everybody!!! I've been paying invoices for most of my construction materials through Amex. Business before Covid-19 was good located here in LA County but Covid really made us take off and to this day we are working 6 days a week with a journeyman crew of 21.

I hope I get it and obviously if I get it approved I'll 100000% post the pictures here on MF!!!, it'll be a sweet treat.

I know Amex sometimes frowns on not using business cards for business expenses but I've been open with them about authorizing purchases for business use and they haven't flintched at it.

I asked the rep if there's any way to do it online, they said snail mail is their only option.. sorry for the lag guys I've been pretty busy all day, although all day I've had a smug smile on my face hahaha.

and my Amex is still usable as of 4pm PST so Im assuming this isn't a financial review 🙇🏻‍♂️

I wonder if they'll take my mortgages into account ! They're from my rental units I got in 2017 but I show the income made from these units in my taxes.. fingers crossed

For some reason it should be 492k more but BofA doesn't report my mortgage from 2017 on anything but Equifax?. EX, TU only has 3, EQ has all 4..

If that's the case you should be fine. Back in 2018 when I submitted a 4506-T for a CLI request since it would take my total lines well into the six digits they just wanted to confirm the money you're claiming on your income report. I imagine any discrepancy you can talk to the lending department about. They actually called me to talk about it before giving me my CLI I asked for

Just running circuit breakers for an average commercial job through Platinum should put you into Centurion territory 😏

Good friend of mine put every expense for his business through. Took him about 3 years before he got the centurion call. His wife then wanted to kill him when she found out the initiation fee. I vaguely recall him saying something about a lot of cold showers for a while

@Creditplz Are you able to use your card while they process the 4506-T? Also, have you thought able to send additional information (bank statements, pay stubs, proof of other income) to Amex that will support the spending?
