CLI hack if Amazon drops Chase?

I've heard rumors that Amazon may replace Chase as the issuer of the Amazon Visa. If that happens, does that mean my card will be closed and I'll have to re-apply? If the card will stay open, I wonder if it would be a good idea to transfer available credit from my other Chase cards now, and then request CLI's with Chase once the Amazon card is under the new issuer (circumventing Chase combined credit limit). If the new issuer is Synchrony I doubt they'd give me a CLI as high as Chase would.

Amazon is considering transferring their credit card customers from Chase to another bank - meaning you wouldn't need to apply for a new card, if it even happens.

You shouldn't be doing anything based on rumors.
