Lowe's Advantage....has this ever happened to you?

I'm online shopping and have my cart is pretty full. Haven't checked out yet. The subtotal is at $318. Then I get interrupted by phone call and log out. Then when I log back in later to I add some more stuff the cart subtotal is now up to $338. (eta: yeah I added a couple of more things)

When I go to check out it asks for the 3 digit code on the back of the card. I forgot it. It takes a minute or two to get the card. When I'm just about ready to input the number I noticed I had two separate purchase emails from Lowe's pop up. I opened those first. One is showing a charge to Lowe's Advantage credit card for $318.00 and the second email shows another charge to the Lowe's Advantage cc for $338.00. I do have the acct. to notify of any charge over $40 occurs.

I immediately dumped my cart, logged out, logged back in and went to purchase history.....no orders. So I logged in to Lowe's Advantage cc and the balance is $0 and the cl is the full $35k. Both purchase dates in both emails show today's date. Now I don't want to place any order.

This is the second time this has happened. Last time was during the summer. The CSR called it a glitch and would resolve in a few days. Pita having to babysit this acct....which is what I had to do that time and sure enough the charge disappeared.

Has this happened to anyone else with Lowe's? Particularly not inputting the security code or hitting "place order"?

I once put stuff in a shopping cart only to find out that i actually had to pay for it. So not same but i do get why your curious

What? How? did that happen leaving you liable? You couldn't return the items? Lol, were you hitting the hooch?!? hahahaha JK friend!!!!!!

Lol for sure. But seriously that would freak me out seeing pending charges before you even pay. I know PSECU likes to hp before you even finish ones application but yikrs, id be using another card to be safe lol

I haven't had the exact same thing happen, but just a few days ago there was something similar. I had placed a 4-figure order at Lowe's, using my Citi Double Cash card, and the charge showed up TWICE in my Citi account. I called to find out what was up, and the CSR assured me it was just a glitch and it would correct itself shortly. It did.

I went to Lowe's in person yesterday, No glitch .. had to pay for everything in the shopping cart

Welp, I'm gonna have to load a physical cart I guess. I got two more emails for two more different amts. for two more different carts/purchases this morning.
