this might have been discussed 100 times on the forum,but I just product changed from Citi AAdvantage to Citi Custom Cash. They said I will get a new number. Will this count as a new card and count against Chase 5/24. If so I will cancel the product change.

It shouldn't as its just a lateral change from one card type to the other.

When I PCed Prestige to DC, it did not report as a new account.

When I PCed AA Platinum to Costco, Citi did report it as a new account to EQ, using the approximate PC date as the open date.

But my experience is a fairly uncommon case. Generally it will not appear as a new account. And Chase will generally* pull EX AFAIK.

*But not exclusively. I once got an EX/TU Chase pull.

I don't remember if the card # changed when I PC'd my AAdvantage card over to the Custom Cash but I do know that the same tradeline was retained including the opening date of the card - there was no account opening or closure.
