DCU Platinum vs. NFCU Platinum

With my rewards quite rounded out and finding myself quite happy with where I'm at, I've been thinking of applying for a low APR card before I head into the garden for an extended stay. I've been considering both the NFCU Plat and the DCU Plat as my options, as both have no balance transfer fees and no cash advance fees. I currently have a preapproval offer from DCU for their Platinum card with their lowest APR, and have also seen DPs stating there is pretty regular 0% offers, which is pretty enticing. However, NFCU has a 3% lower APR compared to DCU, and I'm decently confident I can get their lowest APR. I would also like to see growth in the initial SL as I will be heavily increasing my income once I finish my degree.

Is there any consensus as to which of these cards (or any other low APR card) is best for a fee-free option in case of balance transfers or cash advances?

DCU wont give me the time of day but honestly that doesnt colour my opinion here. Navy CA rate is 2% higher than the apr but they wont flinch on its use. Plus what i love about Navy is every month you have a balance , you will see lower minimum due amounts as time progresses. Its just a great experience imo. Im not a fan of DCU and their web experience though supposedly its changing. If you can get both fine, always good to have options but my vote is Navy first

They offered me 2xs (last January and this January) the option to transfer debt from other cards without a fee and the payback time was 6-months last year, and 7-months this year with 0% APR. Pretty good to have if after the holidays you have a lot of spending on the CB cards and now you need a place to put the charges to have some time to pay them off

However DCU does have, as you mentioned, offers every now and then for an additional 0% APR period. Have you recieved similar offers for the Navy Platinum, and how long have you been recieving the DCU 0% offers? I don't need a 0% period at the moment with a 0% BT currently active on my Barclays View and 0% on my Citi Custom Cash, but would like to have it in the future if needed.
