MCC Database?

Anyone have a valid link for checking merchant codes? Visa used to have a public facing database, but all the links I find now dead end.

I don't see it! There is a link to the Visa Supplier link, which no longer works (as OP suggested) and then one each for Visa and MC that is a link to a list of MCCs rather than Merchant/MCC pairs. Did I miss it?

These files have the MCCs along with other info as well, both are PDF

the Visa Merchant Data Standards Manual and the Quick Reference Booklet – Merchant Edition for Mastercard.

the Visa Merchant Data Standards Manual and the Quick Reference Booklet – Merchant Edition for Mastercard.

The major purpose here for the Visa Supplier tool was to answer questions like "Will Veggies 'R Us on Main St, SmallTown VT, code as a supermarket or discount store (or something else)" I don't see a replacement here, which is more like "What does MCC 0449 include"

One of us is missing the point! That is again an explanation of MCCs, and not an answer to "what does store X code as?", which is what the defunct supplier locator did.
